Who Is She?
Well hello there. I’m Myeshia. Most people call me Eshia or Esh, but you can call me Myeshia. This is completely new territory for me. A blog. A blog about late bloomage. A blog about late bloomage from a 30 something year old woman. But I’m more than that. This blog will hopefully speak from the viewpoint of an African-American, Christian (I know I know, but don’t leave just yet) woman. I hope that you’re able to identify with some of the posts. I hope that you’re able to see yourself and to take away the fact that no matter how old you are, or how late you may feel the most important thing is that you showed up. I was told five or six years ago to start this blog. I was in my 20s at the time, when blogs were booming and everyone had one. I never did it. In a true procrastinators form, I took my time. And I showed up UBER late. Kind of feel underdressed, but I’m finally making the effort. And I’m finding that sometimes that’s all it takes, you deciding to make the effort. This blog is not for people who have it all figured out and have it all together. Type A personalities will probably cringe reading this. But if they do see fit to take a peek, I would never turn them away. Shucks, there’s a lot that I could learn from them. This blog is more so for those of us who had an idea of what our lives should be like at this place and time. There were dreams we had. Ideas we wanted to become reality, but somewhere along the way life got to us and we became stagnant. The Spirit of Procrastination won the battle. However, the war is still going on and we have a chance to win. We just have to decide that we want to be key players in this life. And I finally made the decision to toss my hat in the ring and leave my mark. Yeah I’m pretty late to the party, but at least I finally decided to show up. And now that I’m here, it’s going to be pretty tough to get me to leave.
